How ToyBuz All Started: A passion for customizing action figures

Dear Visitor,

I have had a love for action figures my whole life. I have collected Star Wars, GI Joe, He Man, and other action figures for decades. In my twenties, I began to customize figures and even sold a few! Of course, like so many things we enjoy in our youth, life can cause them to be pushed aside. Although I have a bachelor’s degree in Art, I have spent two decades working in records management. It has been work in which I have excelled and which has allowed me to take care of my family: my lovely wife and two beautiful children. But, like so many trade-offs, it left me yearning for more.

Fast forward to 2018, and that urge to customize hit me again. But this time, I decided to go bigger. I started learning everything I could about creating molds, working with resin, and making my own action figures. I have followed many amazing creators on Instagram and YouTube, and many of them were kind enough to share tips. Although in the beginning I tried and frequently failed to bring the ideas in my mind’s eye to life, it was a hobby that I greatly enjoyed and enjoyed sharing with others.

In 2020, like everyone else, everything changed with the lockdown. Having extra time, and with my wife’s blessing, I got serious about my toy-making. And in March of 2020, I launched ToyBuz! I offer handmade, artfully crafted resin action figure collectibles that delight and surprise. Many of the figures that I produce have been ideas in my head for years, and I am so happy and proud to offer them to you today!
